A forgotten war

Until 1939/40, the more educated part of the world knew only one Finnish heroic poem, the Kalevala. On this winter anniversary, however, another Finnish epic emerged, the Finnish War of Independence against the most ruthless and cruel conqueror in world history, Bolshevik Soviet Russia. This book is not just a description of the war, but also a monument to the nation states that are now deteriorating for Europe’s independence.
